     Soroptimist International of the Sierra Foothills is pleased to present their 15th annual tour of private gardens in the foothills of Grass Valley and Nevada City, in Northern California .

The 2008 Garden Tour will be held on Saturday and Sunday, May 17th and 18th (always the weekend after Mother's Day) from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day.

Soroptimist International is a nonprofit service organization of women helping women and children both locally and internationally.  Proceeds from this event will benefit community service projects such as:

Soroptimist Youth Citizenship Awards, Making a Difference for Women, Women of Distinction, Woman's Opportunity Award, Special Olympics, Child Advocates of Nevada County, Read Me A Story,  Pal Program, Saturday Night Gym, Nevada County Chernobyl Children's Project, Fight for Cancer, Red Cross, Manzanita Center, Kid Power, Heifer Project, Ronald McDonald House, Krisis Kare Nursery, Meals on Wheels, Margaret Morey Scholarship Award, Lift Foundation, Grass Valley Pre-School Garden Project, Yellow Ribbon Campaign and the Friendship Club.
